LifeStyle reports two more customers have enjoyed visiting Diamond Austria for delivery of their aircraft and also enjoyed making the North Atlantic crossing from Austria to Canada in their new DA42-VI planes.

Most recently, David Lubinitsky of New York, traveled to Wiener Neustadt, just south of Vienna Austria for a tour of the factory and to take delivery of his new DA42-VI painted in the striking “gun-metal gray” and silver paint scheme. David toured the factory and laid eyes on his plane for the first time. He then prepared with the ferry pilot for the North Atlantic crossing. The flight followed the route above and leaving on Wednesday they arrived on Friday by mid-day.
Diamond DA42 Atlantic Crossing
The flight from Austria to Canada illustrates the value of the DA42 aircraft as the ultra-capable, all weather efficient transport that it is. The DA42 includes Flight Into Known Icing (FIKI) TKS panels, retractable gear and long range tanks as standard. The North Atlantic route is typically from Scotland to Iceland to Greenland to Canada. The 76 Gallon “Long Range” tanks on the DA42 can do that easily due to the ultra-efficient Jet-A diesel engines.
