LifeStyle Aviation announced today they are importing the First Diamond DA42-VI with a full-color paint scheme. Prior to now all DA42s were painted exclusively white. The reason for only white was the airframes are “unlimited life airframes” and the white color was part of the engineering to limit heat build up in the airframe structure ensuring their integrity.
Diamond Aircraft as part of the DA62 airframe development started using a new formulation process for the carbon fiber airframes that has a higher temperature limit which allowed the company to now be able to paint the airframes in darker colors. (view factory tour page)
