As a partner of One Off Hospitality, a high-end restaurant group in Chicago, Eduard has balanced a career in hospitality with a growing desire to use aviation for something bigger. During the Covid pandemic, as overcrowded shelters put more animals at risk of euthanasia, that purpose became clear.

What began as a volunteer effort quickly became a serious mission. Using Eduard’s 1966 Piper Cherokee with the back seats removed, the couple spent the next several years flying rescue animals across regions. To date, Bark4Compassion has helped transport nearly 300 animals through what they call “freedom flights.”
The Diamond DA40 checked those boxes.

Since transitioning to the DA40, Eduard says the difference has been significant. Compared to the 1966 Piper Cherokee, the modern composite aircraft offers a quieter cabin, air conditioning, improved visibility, and a smoother ride. Those upgrades have made a noticeable difference not only for Eduard and Debbie up front, but also for the dogs and cats being transported in the back.

That is the kind of ownership LifeStyle Aviation is proud to support: helping people find an aircraft that fits both their mission and the purpose behind it.

To help support Bark4Compassion’s mission, they will be hosting a fundraiser on May 29 at the Porsche Dealership in downtown Chicago.
